The Herzog Foundation announced today that it will grant $2,315,910 to propel the growth at six Christian schools in Georgia, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, and Washington, D.C.

This announcement comes as Christian schools around the nation see continued growth in enrollment. According to a recent study, eight out of 10 Christian school leaders say demand for Christian education is increasing in their area, and the same number report their enrollment has grown since the pandemic. As demand for Christian education grows, schools need resources to open and increase their capacity. The Herzog Foundation is proud to help the following schools in this endeavor:

All six schools designated to receive a Herzog Foundation grant in 2023 will significantly increase their capacity for new students. The school with the highest potential for growth is Capitol Hill Christian Academy as the only school of its kind in Washington D.C.’s largest residential neighborhood.

“This year, we identified six schools in six communities where demand for Christian education is particularly strong,” said Herzog Foundation President Darrell Jones. “From Capitol Hill to rural Kentucky, more families than ever before are seeking out an education rooted in Christ. Our 2023 grantees will ensure that these families have access to the high-quality, Christian education they desire.”

The Herzog Foundation’s founder and namesake, Stan Herzog, had a vision to transform and increase the enrollment of Christian schools nationwide. This vision is made possible through granting and training events. For more information on the Herzog Foundation’s upcoming training events, please visit the Training Portal.

“I want to sincerely thank the Herzog Foundation for their generous grant towards the expansion program for our Christian school, Answers Academy. This expansion will enable us to quadruple our school’s capacity so we can disciple even more children for the Lord,” said Answers in Genesis Founder and CEO Ken Ham.

“Capitol Hill Christian Academy is incredibly grateful to the Herzog Foundation for recognizing our school with this honor and investing in our vision and goals. As a new school, the Herzog Foundation’s support will accelerate our growth in building a school that will teach rising leaders in our nation’s capital the importance of faith, virtue, and knowledge,” said Capitol Hill Christian Academy Founder and Head of School Annie Hsiao.

“We are continually amazed by God’s provision and unmerited favor, that He has stirred in the hearts of those involved in the Herzog Foundation to partner with Christian Fellowship. This grant will support the expansion of the CFS campus, a blessing for the many families who participate in our growing ministry, as well as those yet to come. It is with deep gratitude that we get to steward this gift,” said Christian Fellowship Head of School Max Vikhter.

“Hebron Christian Academy thanks the Herzog Foundation for their generous support of our new life-changing academic venture — The Lions Learning Academy. Our school will minister to 250 children with moderate to severe special needs through a cutting-edge therapeutic model where students will be given an education of excellence, and will receive necessary therapy as a component of their daily academic schedule. In addition, the families of children with special needs will be loved and cared for in an intentional Christian community where Christ is preeminent. This school will change lives,” said Hebron Christian Academy Head of School James Taylor.

“We praise God for the generosity and intentional partnership of the Herzog Foundation with Park Christian School. We are stepping into the new year fully expecting God to move in great ways as we serve our students and families with unquestionably Christ-centered education.  The Herzog Grant will help us continue in our expansion plans by building four additional classrooms and will motivate others to join us in our strategic initiatives, we are grateful,” said Park Christian School President Chris Nellermoe.

“The Herzog Foundation has been such an incredible blessing to us at Veritas Christian Academy. We are so grateful to Herzog for their partnership on our journey, and this gift is another clear example of their unwavering commitment to Christian education. We are eager to begin building our new campus facilities in order to serve more families in MetroWest Boston,” said Veritas Christian Academy Board Chairman Joseph Medendorp.
