Herzog Foundation Announces $85,000 in Matching Grants to Local Christian Schools
Smithville, MO (March 11, 2022) – The Herzog Foundation announced today that it will match the fundraising efforts of the following local Christian schools:
- Martin Luther Academy (Kansas City, MO)
- Northland Christian School (Kansas City, MO)
- Our Savior Christian Academy (Smithville, MO)
“Christian schools in the Kansas City area are thriving, and we want to ensure that they have the resources they need to keep scaling,” said Herzog Foundation Chairman Todd Graves. “Because of these schools, more students in our area will have access to a quality Christian education.”
The Herzog Foundation’s founder and namesake, Stan Herzog, had a vision to transform and increase the enrollment of Christian schools nationwide. This vision is made possible through matching grants such as these, but also through the Herzog Foundation’s Christian school training events. “Martin Luther Academy is honored to receive a matching grant from the Herzog Foundation. These funds will be used to support the growth of our student’s spiritual, emotional, and academic needs. Students of MLA graduate with a foundation in Christ, transitioning to high school with the strength and emotional fortitude to excel in academic and extracurricular pursuits. We thank the Herzog Foundation for their generous support of our school,” said Martin Luther Academy Principal Scott Dixon.
“At Northland Christian School, this matching grant will enhance our ability to provide Christ-centered educational experiences, and do so in an affordable and sustainable way. Matching grants are even more helpful as they inspire others to contribute, doubling the benefit as well as the ministry opportunity for those wishing to give. This generous donation is yet another example of the tremendous work the Herzog Foundation is performing to enhance Christian education across the country,” said Northland Christian Superintendent Bryan Prewitt.
“Through the support of the Herzog Foundation, we can continue to share the love of Jesus with children and families in our community, to save the spiritually lost, to grow the faith of the spiritually saved, and to equip the saved to be courageous Christian witnesses to the non-believing world. This grant will allow our work to continue, which will prayerfully provide more in heaven on the last day. What a blessing!” said Our Savior Christian Academy Spokeswoman Julie Kurtz.
