Herzog Foundation Announces More Than $3.8 Million in Grants to 13 Christian Schools

The Herzog Foundation announced today that it will grant $3,813,800 to propel the growth at 13 Christian schools in California, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, and Virginia.

Across the nation, Christian schools have made it their mission to instill biblical values and love of country while teaching students the fundamentals and preparing them for their careers. As more parents and students realize the immense value in a Christian education, schools need resources to open and increase their capacity. The Herzog Foundation is honored to help the following schools in this endeavor:

  • College Heights Christian School (Joplin, MO)
  • Fellowship Church Christian Academy (Raymore, MO)
  • Gloria Deo Academy (Springfield, MO)
  • Immanuel Christian Academy (Springfield, VA)
  • Martin Luther Academy (Kansas City, MO)
  • Northeast Christian High School (Kirksville, MO)
  • Overland Christian School (Overland Park, KS)
  • Regents School of Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA)
  • River Oak Christian Academy (Jefferson City, MO)
  • Second Baptist School (Houston, TX)
  • Summit Christian Academy (Lees Summit, MO)
  • Tarkio Technology Institute (Tarkio, MO)
  • Tri-City Christian School (Vista, CA)

“These schools are not only dedicated to instilling biblical truth in their students, but they’re also committed to serving more students in their communities,” said Herzog Foundation Chairman Todd Graves. “In order for Christian education to truly make an impact, we must reach more students and families. We’re proud to support schools that prioritize growth alongside Christian and American values.”

The Herzog Foundation’s founder and namesake, Stan Herzog, had a vision to transform and increase the enrollment of Christian schools nationwide. This vision is made possible through granting and training events. For more information on the Herzog Foundation’s upcoming training events, please visit the Training Portal.

“God has definitely blessed College Heights Christian School with a partnership with the Herzog Foundation. As a small Christian School in southwest Missouri, it is challenging to raise funds for large projects. The Herzog Foundation is giving legacy gifts that will impact lives for years to come,” said College Heights Christian School Superintendent Dan Decker.

“Fellowship Church Academy is beyond thankful for the generosity of the Herzog Foundation as they catch the vision with us and put action into opening our new future school! With this boost the Herzog Foundation has provided, we are well on our way to championing the next generation for Christ with a Biblically grounded education,” said Fellowship Church Christian Academy Campus Ministries Pastor Andrew Gibb.

“The Herzog Grant is an amazing blessing for Gloria Deo Academy! GDA is experiencing incredible growth in our community and the Herzog foundation is a perfect partner for our mission to develop ethical and wise individuals who will impact their community for the glory of God through service, leadership and character. Because of their partnership, GDA is now one step closer to making an even bigger impact in our community,” said Gloria Deo Academy Head of School Joy Davis.

“One of the greatest needs in education today is for the emerging generations to be trained and equipped with a biblical worldview. The Herzog Foundation is investing in the growth and development of Christian schools across the nation. As a recipient of a Herzog Foundation grant, Immanuel Christian School in Springfield, Virginia will be able to expand the classroom space in its high school. We are deeply grateful for the generosity of the Herzog Foundation,” said Immanuel Christian Academy Head of School Emeritus Steve Danish.

“Martin Luther Academy is excited for the opportunity of physical growth that the Lord has placed before us. Over the past several years, He continually directed families to join the MLA community where students are nurtured spiritually, emotionally, and academically. The support that the Herzog Foundation is providing will be utilized to create additional space for growth and will help continue to achieve our vision of providing a Christ-centered education for equipping students to be disciples,” said Martin Luther Academy Principal Scott Dixon.

“Northeast Christian High School was started one year ago and is evidence that God has provided for those who desire God’s presence in their education. Watching the students not only thrive in their academics but also their spiritual lives has been a joy to witness!  Thank you to all the faithful and generous givers like The Herzog Foundation for helping provide this sanctuary in such trying times,” said Northeast Christian High School Board President Rev. Jeremy D. Broach.

“What a sacred and awesome privilege to teach and train children to have a Christian world view. Thanks to the Herzog Foundation for partnering with us to help make the vision a reality.  Praise God from whom all blessings flow,” said Overland Christian School Board Chair Rev. Rodney Davis.

“We are so grateful to the Herzog Foundation staff and Board for blessing our community and increasing our capacity to provide a biblical education to more children and families. Stanley Herzog’s vision to strengthen Christian schools is a gift that will permanently bless generations of students in Charlottesville and beyond,” said Regents School of Charlottesville Vice Chair Matt Bascom.

“We are incredibly blessed by the Herzog Foundation’s generous support of our capital campaign.  This gift will help River Oak build additional administrative and classroom space needed to meet the growing demand for Christ-centered education in mid-Missouri.  The impact of the Herzog Foundation’s support will be far-reaching, and we deeply appreciate their willingness to partner with River Oak in maximizing each child’s God-given potential,” said River Oak Christian Academy Head of School Lisa Smith.

“Second Baptist School is committed to providing excellence in our Christian education to more families throughout Houston. Herzog Foundation grant will help us take another step forward in our tireless pursuit of producing graduates that think critically, live Biblically, and lead courageously,” said Second Baptist Head of School Don Davis.

“As we surpass an enrollment of 1200 students for the 2022-23 school year, these funds will not only impact our students today, but will have an eternal impact on the next generation as they grow and lead where God has called them,” said Summit Christian Academy Head of School Chris Hahn.

“This grant will allow us to launch an outcome-based business program that will provide our students with a strong foundation in business management based on the Biblical view of money and the purpose of business ownership in God’s kingdom. We consider it a true blessing to be selected by such a strong advocate of Christian education as the Stanley M. Herzog Charitable Foundation,” said Tarkio Technology Institute President John Davis.

“Through a series of events, the Lord has allowed Tri-City Christian School to expand its outreach into our community and respond to the growing interest in Christian education. With the generous help provided by the Herzog foundation, we were able to add an additional five classrooms to our campus in one year. These classrooms open up the opportunity for 150 new students to attend Tri-City Christian School. The miraculous part of this process is that by God’s perfect timing, TCCS has actually filled those 150 spots with new students even before the classrooms are completed,” said Tri-City Christian Head of School Kirk Huckabone.
