Studio Engineer – Full Time

Overview:

The Herzog Foundation is seeking a Studio Engineer who can manage our video and podcast studios at the Herzog Foundation headquarters. The Studio Engineer will be a leader who can manage other studio staff and be the Foundation’s expert on video and audio production from pre-shoot to post-production. Supporting the mission of the Herzog Foundation is essential. This position will report directly to the Content Director, but may occasionally work with other staff on foundation-related content. 

Duties:

  • Set up lighting and cameras in the video studio
  • Set up audio equipment for video shoots and podcasts
  • Operate BlackMagic studio equipment
  • Manage and direct a Studio Assistant
  • Edit video content and audio content

Minimum qualifications

  • Excellent technical skills with lighting, cameras, microphones, and editing
  • Support the mission of the Herzog Foundation
  • The ability to work independent and problem solve
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Work well in a team environment

Preferred qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of studio experience
  • Deadline-driven editing experience
  • Understanding of the Christian and education content and marketing spaces

    Studio Assistant – Full Time

    Overview:

    The Herzog Foundation is seeking a Studio Assistant who can assist in our video and podcast studios at the Herzog Foundation headquarters. The Studio Assistant will assist the Studio Engineer and be involved in content creation from pre-shoot to post-production. Supporting the mission of the Herzog Foundation is essential. This position will report directly to the Studio Engineer, but may occasionally work with other staff on foundation-related content.

      Overview:

      The Herzog Foundation is seeking a project manager and administrator who can execute and manage the day-to-day responsibilities of the SchoolBox initiative. The SchoolBox project manager will play a key role in a fast-paced organization and department working to rapidly scale programs to launch new Christian schools across the nation. They will coordinate and administer key functions for the SchoolBox initiative. The SchoolBox project manager reports directly to the President.

      Duties:

      • Assist senior team members in driving this strategic initiative.
      • Provide project management for managing the online platform.
      • Coordinate SchoolBox launch process and content.
      • Coordinate SchoolBox Implementation and onboarding launch teams.
      • Onboard Mentors, manage mentor relations.
      • Coordinate communications with startups and mentors across the country.
      • Manage user experience – communications, continual improvement, feedback collection.
      • Interface with other Directors to ensure communication and alignment with the broader HF mission.
      • Propose creative ideas to keep SchoolBox on the cutting edge.
      • Contribute to the organization’s culture and values in the workplace.

       Minimum qualifications:

      • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word & Excel). Basic skills test for Outlook will be required
      • Support the mission of the Herzog Foundation
      • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
      • Can multitask, prioritize, and execute at a high level
      • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
      • Work well in a team environment

        Overview:

        The Herzog Foundation is seeking a staff writer who can help produce news pieces for The Lion, an online publication that covers a wide range of issues facing American families and culture, especially related to education. A passion for writing engaging content, excellent writing and proofreading skills, ability to discover story ideas, and ability to meet deadlines are important qualities. Supporting the mission of the Herzog Foundation is essential. This position will report directly to the managing editor of The Lion but may occasionally work with other staff on foundation-related content. 

         

        Duties:

        • Find and write news stories in a timely manner.
        • Develop a process for finding and reporting relevant news stories.
        • Work with the editorial calendar.
        • Proofread publication content.
        • Fulfill other writing duties as assigned.

         

        Minimum qualifications

        • Excellent writing skills
        • Support the mission of the Herzog Foundation
        • Strong computer and related technical skills, including Microsoft Word, Google docs and sheets
        • Ability to meet deadlines
        • Work well in a team environment
