Overview:

The Herzog Foundation is seeking a program associate who can execute and manage the day-to-day responsibilities of various programmatic initiatives. The Program Associate will play a key role in a fast-paced organization and department working to rapidly scale programs for Christian schools, educators, and administrators across the nation. They will coordinate and administer a number of key functions and programs, including grant proposals, award programs, training events, and other new programmatic initiatives. The Program Associate reports directly to the Program Director.

 

Duties:

  • Assist senior team members in driving strategic initiatives (e.g. Christian school training, Christian education awards, online platforms for school startups, etc.)
  • Administer grant agreements from start to finish by working with grantees and Program Director
  • Coordinate and organize grantee communication, application, and documentation.
  • Schedule and  coordinate occasional meetings
  • Interface with our content and operations teams to ensure communication on events and trainings
  • Occasionally provide project management for new and existing programmatic initiatives
  • Organize and maintain key files, including trackers, budgets, and proposals
  • Propose creative ideas to keep initiatives on the cutting edge
  • Coordinate communications with non-profit organizations across the country
  • Contribute to the organization’s culture and values in the workplace

 

Minimum qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word & Excel). Basic skills test for Outlook will be required
  • Support the mission of the Herzog Foundation
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can multitask, prioritize, and execute at a high level
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
  • Work well in a team environment

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Administrative and/or project management experience

Digital Marketing Manager

Overview:

The Herzog Foundation is seeking a digital marketing manager who can execute and manage the day-to-day responsibilities of our digital strategy. The ability to manage multiple acquisition campaigns at once, work hand-in-hand with media buyers and graphic designers, and manage social media and email campaigns are essential skills. Supporting the mission of the Herzog Foundation is necessary for success. This position will report directly to the Executive Director, but will work closely with other members of the content team.

 

Duties:

● Oversee acquisition campaigns on Facebook and Twitter
● Analyze SEO and marketing metrics
● Create weekly and monthly reports to track progress
● Generate innovative ideas to increase web traffic to digital assets
● Work with the ad placement team and graphics team to implement campaigns
● Create copy text for digital ad campaigns
● Manage social media
● Create and execute daily, weekly, and monthly email campaigns

 

Minimum qualifications

● Social media management experience
● Support the mission of the Herzog Foundation
● Strong computer and related technical skills, including Microsoft Word, G Suite,
MailChimp, Google analytics, WordPress, CRM software, SEO skills, and familiarity with
basic graphic design concepts
● Ability to meet deadlines
● Work well in a team environment

The Herzog Foundation is seeking a staff writer who can help produce news pieces for The Lion, an online publication that covers a wide range of issues facing American families and culture, especially related to education. A passion for writing engaging content, excellent writing and proofreading skills, ability to discover story ideas, and ability to meet deadlines are important qualities. Supporting the mission of the Herzog Foundation is essential. This position will report directly to the managing editor of The Lion but may occasionally work with other staff on foundation-related content. 

 

Duties:

  • Find and write news stories in a timely manner.
  • Develop a process for finding and reporting relevant news stories.
  • Work with the editorial calendar.
  • Proofread publication content.
  • Fulfill other writing duties as assigned.

 

Minimum qualifications

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Support the mission of the Herzog Foundation
  • Strong computer and related technical skills, including Microsoft Word, Google docs and sheets
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Work well in a team environment
