Herzog Foundation News Publication Wins 2022 Best in Class Award from the Evangelical Press Association
The Herzog Foundation’s digital news publication, The Lion, was awarded third place in the Evangelical Press Association’s 2022 Best in Class Contest. The award comes at the completion of The Lion’s first year of operation.
The Evangelical Press Association is a professional organization of Christian print and digital publications: magazines, newspapers, newsletters, and content-driven websites. They awarded the Lion in the Website Class B category.
“We are proud to be honored by such a prestigious organization as the Evangelical Press Association,” said The Lion’s Executive Editor Michael Ryan. “We work hard to inform parents every day about their educational options, and this award is a testament to our staff’s incredible effort and dedication.”
The Lion is a digital news publication dedicated to informing parents and educational decision-makers about the many options they have for their children. It sheds light on issues with the status quo in public schools, covers success stories and expansion in Christian schools and covers issues related to religious liberty, free speech, parenting and civics.
“Along with other members of the Evangelical Press Association, The Lion is telling critical stories that are vital to not only Christians, but our country at large,” said The Lion’s Managing Editor Josh Mann. “We’re grateful to be recognized for the success of our first year as we continue to significantly grow in our second, intent on being a ‘must read’ for every Christian parent.”
