Herzog Foundation Hosts School Startup Accelerator in Loudoun County with 57 Education Entrepreneurs

The Herzog Foundation recently hosted a School Startup Accelerator event in Loudoun County, Virginia for individuals interested in launching new Christian schools. Hosting the event alongside the Herzog Foundation was Cornerstone Christian Academy, a new Christian school founded by Pastor Gary Hamrick of Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, Virginia. The new school is scheduled to open in the fall of 2023 and has already received thousands of applications from prospective teachers and students.

“There’s an insatiable appetite for Christian education all over the country,” said Herzog Foundation President Darrell Jones. “New schools like Cornerstone Christian Academy have stepped up to the plate to meet this growing demand for Christian education in their communities. At the Herzog Foundation, we feel it’s our responsibility to make sure these new schools have the resources needed to launch and continue operating for many years to come.”

In attendance at the Herzog Foundation’s School Startup Accelerator were 57 education entrepreneurs representing 28 startup schools across 15 states and Washington DC. Coaches and attendees discussed how to form a launch team, school identity, legal structure, fundraising strategy, budget, and more.

“If God has called you to start a Christian school, the Herzog Foundation accelerator will help to set you on a course to build the school for God’s glory and to equip world changers for Jesus from the inside out,” said Cornerstone Christian Academy Head of School Dr. Samuel Botta.
