Overview:
The Herzog Foundation is seeking a graphic designer who can execute and manage the day-to-day responsibilities of our graphic design and digital content requirements. The ability to manage multiple graphic design projects at once, collaborate with the content and communications team, are all essential skills. Supporting the mission of the Herzog Foundation is necessary for success. This position will report directly to the Communications Director, but will work closely with other members of the content and communications team.
The graphic designer will develop concepts, create compelling layouts and designs, both digital and print, that consistently carry the Herzog Foundation’s brand throughout a wide range of standardized and custom deliverables such as event and marketing materials, email campaigns, website, landing pages, social media posts, videos and animation, and more.
Duties:
- Collaborates with the communications and content team to design and create content that aligns with the Herzog Foundation’s overall marketing strategy, ensuring all materials consistently adhere to brand standards
- Delivers creative and sophisticated infographic solutions to ensure the Herzog Foundation’s brand is communicated effectively both with words and design. Ensures workflow from concept to production is efficient and well communicated
- Evaluates the optimization of activities by analyzing website, email, and social media metrics and making recommendations to improve results
- Utilizes email marketing platform, creating communications campaign by integrating animation and video into graphics strategy
- Manage and update design and content across all channels and platforms as needed
- Assumes additional responsibilities as reasonably assigned
Minimum qualifications:
- Support the mission of the Herzog Foundation
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro
- Strong computer and related technical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, HubSpot, WordPress, and familiarity with graphic design and brand concepts
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal, as well as strong presentation skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Work well in a team environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in design, graphic design, or a related field
- Creativity and originality with demonstrated knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles
- At least 2-4 years of design experience
- Photography experience is a plus
- Understanding of the Christian and education content and marketing spaces
