Welcome to the counselor application form for the 2025 Faith & Nation Student Forum!
We’re excited that you’re considering applying for this unique leadership opportunity. The Faith & Nation Student Forum is a 4-day event where high school seniors from across the country come together to explore the intersection of faith, civic engagement, and the pressing issues shaping our society today.
2024 Faith & Nation Student Forum
The Salvation Army – Camp Hoblitzelle
As a college student counselor, you will play an essential role in creating a meaningful and supportive experience for our high school participants. Counselors serve as both mentors and facilitators and assist with helping students feel welcomed and engaged throughout the event.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating small group discussions after keynote sessions and workshops, encouraging thoughtful dialogue and critical thinking.
- Guiding team activities and simulations, including debates, collaborative projects, and civic action planning.
- Providing mentorship—offering advice, encouragement, and a listening ear to help participants navigate both the program’s content and the social experience of camp life.
- Coordinating daily schedules and ensuring students are on time and prepared for all events.
- Supporting a safe and respectful environment that reflects the values of the Herzog Foundation.
- Assisting with logistical needs, such as check-in, meal coordination, and evening activities.
- Provide supervision and oversight for campers, including staying in youth dorms (males housed with males, females housed with females).
What we provide:
- All travel, lodging, and meals during the 4-day event covered.
- A $500 stipend for your time and leadership.
- A chance to network with national leaders, educators, and peers who share your commitment to faith and civic engagement.
Accepted applicants will be notified on September 2, 2025.
