Doubletree by Hilton, 422 Monroe Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101

December 5 @ 8:00 am 3:00 pm

Description:

In partnership with the Herzog Foundation, the Bill of Rights Institute invites teachers to interact with BRI staff and fellow teachers in curricular workshop sessions and experience live presentations from an esteemed scholar expert. Inspired by the new digital resource, Plainest Demands of Justice: Documents for Dialogue on the African American Experience, this in-person professional development seminar utilizes free BRI content to examine the experience of African Americans throughout history. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with a scholar expert whose field of study will deepen their knowledge base on the topic, as well as have rich interaction with the BRI staff and fellow teacher colleagues to share ideas of pedagogy and practical classroom applications.
